According to Anil Kumar Bhansali, head of treasury, Finrex Treasury Advisors, the rupee is most likely to sell the series of 79 to 79.40.

” The marketplace waits for the RBI MPC to provide its price signals on August 5,” Bhansali stated.

On the Indian equity market front, the 30-share Sensex was trading 188.86 factors or 0.33 percent greater at 57,759.11, while the more comprehensive NSE Nifty increased 72.45 factors or 0.42 percent to 17,230.70.

International institutional financiers were web customers in the resources market on Friday, acquiring shares worth Rs10.46 billion, according to exchange information.
