Pakistan CPI inflation hits 27.3% Y/Y in August: Statistics bureau

Cost increases in staples, veggies, wheat as well as food preparation oil caused the high percent
Pakistan’s customer rate index (CPI) increased to 27.3% year-on-year in August, its data bureau claimed on Thursday.
In July, CPI rising cost of living increased to 24.9%.
” On month-on-month basis, it enhanced by 2.4% in Aug 2022 as contrasted to a boost of 4.3% in the previous month,” the bureau claimed.
