Pakistan records highest-ever weekly inflation of 42.3%

Spike in rates mostly seen in food, gas, power

Pakistan Bureau of Data (PBS) on Friday specified that the rising cost of living gauged by the Delicate Consumer Price Index (SPI) climbed dramatically in the previous week reaching a document 42.3 percent year-on-year basis in August.

Prior To this, the greatest ever before year-on-year boost in the SPI was 38.63 percent, taped for the week upright August 5, the Dawn reported.
